questons on heros

Can the Scorpion Hero do a Political Action while bowed. Ex like Satsu can cast Kiho while bowed?

Yes, provided two conditions:

1 - The Political Action is not printed on his own bowed card.

2 - The Political Action does not require you to target an "unbowed" Personality when it refers to the role he would play.

The same goes with Kiho Actions and Satsu.

You can overlay Hero personality with Many Temple Master, or a THunder personality from Dawn and the Hero would no longer be singular right?

Well, you only carry over abilities (Limited, Open, Battle, and Reaction) when you overlay, so he wouldn't keep his name or any of his traits - including the Courtier, Scorpion Clan, Singular, and Hero traits as well as, "May perform one Political action per turn without bowing."

Many-Temple Master, however, has the printed "Singular" trait, so the Personality would still be Singular, just have a different name, thusly allowing you to gain control of a new copy of Shosuro Hokii.

Another question, this came up in play testing last night. I have the new Crane Hero with A New Path on Her making her a monk, then cast Fall Before the Master. After a duel or two and some Pull of Destiny i draw the Egg of Pan Ku. I then Egg the Hero. I know the Egg copies the Force bonus from the Fall Before the Master but does the Egg get the effects of Fall Before the Master "Draw a card for each duel i win.

Egg copies permanent changes to the Personality it copies. The only Permanent change caused to the duelist by Fall Before the Master is the +2/+2.

Question about Led Into Darkness

Card says "target a face-up human personality in any player's province."

If I am in a battle and my opponent has personalities in the battle, are they considered to be "face-up in a province" ?

No. "in a province" constitutes a card being held in a card-slot designated for that Province. You know, the place where you buy Holdings and Personalities from during your Dynasty Phase.

IE: Can I play Led Into Darkness on one of them ?

No. They aren't "in" the Province.

I know Jeff, Roger, and all the guys over in Design have been putting a lot of work into clearing the location vs. timing language for battles vs. provinces a good working over for Lotus. Hopefully the fruits of their labor will help reduce confusion in the future.

The clause about "if the character is in play at the end...." is it in case he is brought into play or is it if he is still alive ?

If he gets brought into play AND is in play at the end of the turn. If you feed the newly bought Personality to Tsuburu no Oni during that same Dynasty Phase, and he's in the Discard Pile at the end of the turn, he won't be permanently Shadowlands or Dishonored.

That should cover everything from Friday, October 15, 2004. If I missed your question unrelated to Dawn of the Empire, please repost it with the flag [RULES] as part of a Clear and Distinct subject line. I'll get back to you at the first opportunity.
