Is it legal to Egg a Singular person you already control, and/or what happens when you control two copies of a Singular card? Same question with Dragon Pearl and a Singular Item, if there are any, though I hope it's the same answer.
You can copy Singular personalities you already control with the Egg of P'an Ku.
Singular prohibits you from gaining control of another copy of a singular card, either by bringing one into play under your control or gaining control of one already in play. However, you already have control of the Egg card before it becomes a copy of the Singular card in question. Ergo, you are not "gaining control" of anything - you already had it - so the Singular trait does not impact you.
Page 104, DE Rulebook: Singular - Limited to one in play by each player.
No mention of "gaining control". Just "one in play by each player". So either we need a rewrite of Singular's definition for LE (and a change on a rulesheet would be nice too), or we need a reversal, correct?
Page 56 refers to bringing cards into play for both Unique and Singular. Marty's ruling is correct.
Ancestors [RULES]
I checked through the Rulebook, and Accumulated rulings, but couldin't find an answer to these questions.
1. Are Ancestors Unique by default, or are they to be played as written in the case of the following Hidden Emperor ancestors:
All Ancestors printed under the "Ancestors are Unique" rule are still Unique. Consider it errata.
2. Is there a maximum number of ancestors a Personality can attach, or can a Personality attach multiple ancestors (accepting the ability to straighted or bow to attach each one)?
There is no maximum.
Rules Questions {Marty}
Well, number 2 was wrong. Just remember that, if there's nothing about a before/when/after in the trigger you just have to consider it a when. Then, tsuruchi tech and outerwall have the same timing, no problem to do so
Outer Walls reads : Reaction: Reduce a Ranged Attack's strength by 2.
The RA reaction doesn't have a trigger, or timing. Obviously it modifies an RA, but is it when the RA is announced, played, targets, resolves, what?
By the rulebook, it would be as soon as whatever the Reaction tries to modify exists.
Sensei rules
Since the rules for Sensei are changing and Sensei will no longer be considered Fate cards, what kind of cards will they be?
The same kind Winds are: cards. Not Dynasty, not Fate.
Could you possibly spoil or post to the website the changes in Sensei rules so that we can see the changes ahead of time and digest the implications before GenCon?
You reveal your Sensei (or lack thereof) to the other players at the same time you reveal your Stronghold. Sensei are neither Dynasty nor Fate cards and do not go in either deck.
Sensei abilities are NOT copied onto your Stronghold. They exist on the Sensei only.
Sensei will continue to be cards.
The same Sensei must be used for every round of a tournament. It is built into your deck like your Stronghold and Wind.
Wow. It looks like Jeff was kind enough to do all the work on Friday for me. If I overlooked your question from Friday that was neither Wrath-related nor answered by Jeff, please repost it with the flag [RULES] in a clear and distinct subject line. I'll get back to you at the first opportunity.
