Your Rules for Friday, July 9, 2004
Get a personality in your hand ?
I got a personality in play, let's say Tamori Chieko. Blessings of Isawa resolves, and i cast Prayers & Blessings with Chieko. I then use Chieko's new ability. Later in the turn, Chieko dies and goes to the discard pile. At the end of the turn, according to her new ability, i put her in my hand from my discard pile.
Outside of playing the whole thing out verbatim, I don't know what to tell you. I'll forward this over to Jeff to see if he wants to rule on it. I'm not thrilled about the prospects of having an unplayable Dynasty Card in your Fate Hand. I don't know what impact it would have on hand-size or what have you.
I'll just punt this one.
Blessings of Isawa and Keepers
If the "next kiho" is the RA on the Keeper of Air, does she now have two RA actions?
Based on the standing Errata / Rulings in the Archive on Blessings of Isawa, it only applies to Kiho Action Cards. You can't attach Keeper of Air to itself, for instance.
What a messy, messy card. I hope we never see anything resembling it hit print ever again. It is just a giant disaster waiting to happen, both in terms of rules and game balance.
End Rant
I'm not bitter folks. Nope. Not bitter at all ...
And all I get for Friday is set of Blessings of Isawa questions? Jeez. Just put a lump of coal in my stocking next time, folks. ;-)
Anyway, if I missed your question, please repost it with the flag [RULES] in the a clear and distinct subject line. I'll get back to it at the first opportunity *.
Thanks folks, - Marty Lund Deputy Rules Monkey
* "First opportunity" is short hand for "during an Iris Festival in Jigoku" as it relates to questions regarding Blessings of Isawa. ;-)
