Greetings,

Rules for 17 December 2003

So if I play Block Supply Lines and my opponent cancels it with Kyuden Ikoma, I put the card back in my hand?

No. You're taking the quote out of context -- namely, pg. 72 in the Diamond Edition rulebook.

Egg Champ

Since the bonus from New Emerald Champion is copied by the Egg of Pan Ku, does the bowing to bow the Champ part get copied as well?

Yes. The Egg copy gets anything permanent (card text).

Razor's Edge Dojo

If I am targeted with a Limited action that is canceled, I understand my opponent must discard an extra card as a cost of targeting with that action.

Not quite. The discard is an effect, not a cost.

However, if I cancel such a Limited action with (Outmaneuvered by Force/The Time is Not Right/Balance in Nothingness/etc), does the action count as not having resolved, and thus my opponent's next attempt to target my Personalities will still be the "first time" that phase?

The action did not resolve, was never even attempted (Diamond rules, pg. 72).

Shadowlands

I looked all over in the rulebook and I can't find any rules that say Shadowlands can't ally.

There are none. Never have been. Specific strongholds forbade it.

Rules on Provinces and Battles

Is there a diffence between cards that read "this province" and "this battle" for matters of movement and timing?

Depends on context.

Can a card that moves a unit into "this province" move a unit out of the current battle if the card is in a different province?

Yes.

Can an attacking unit be moved into a province where the battle has already resolved if the movement ability specifies province instead of battle?

Yes, provided the current battle is somehow involved.

Can a unit in Province A, which has already resolved, with an unbowed Spirit Drums attached move a unit (either attcking or defending) from Province B, which is the current battle?

Yes.

Can a card that specifies moving into a battle move into a province where the battle has already been resolved?

Yes (http://l5r.alderac.com/rulings/#Battle).

Is "this province" subject to the "Other Battle Rules," third paragraph, third bullet, on page 85 of the DE Rulebook? I.E. can you replace all instances of "this battle" with "this province?"

No.

Tacticial Actions

What is the interaction between Matsu Taniko & White Show Plain.

Taniko can respond to the terrain.

Is White Shore Plain a single bonus targeting all Tactician & all Tactical Actions targetting multiple targets considered a single action.

One action is anything with the word "Limited," "Open", "Battle" or "Reaction" in front of it, no matter how many effects it creates.

Tactician

So an tactician now can use his tactial force bonus action from home? Or from another battle? Or how many times he wants?

No (http://l5r.com/ccg/faq.html#s2).

Bayushi Kaukatsu+3 Diplomatic Apprentice Combo

Is this legal?

No.

I have a dishonored personality in play plus bayushi kaukatsu with 3 diplomatic apprentice attached. I played SHAME on my dishonored personality, and I reacted 4 times the ability of bayushi kaukatsu with regards to the ability of diplomatic apprentice. Will my opponent lose 28 honor?

No. Kaukatsu can only react once (Diamond rules, pg. 75).
