Rules for 1 December 2003, Part 3

Zen Faulkes, sent 2 December 2003 to the l5r-ccg mailing list, the l5r-useful list

A rules digest from the L5R CCG rules team, copied from the mailing list archive for Oracle of the Void. The askers' names are left out. Rulings are as they stood on this date; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

Greetings,

Correction to an earlier post. If one of your Personalities targeted by Ambush opts to commit seppuku, you cannot pick a new target, unlike Underhand of the Emperor. Underhand of the Emperor is different from seppuku in that it forbids a target; seppuku removes an already successfully targeted Personality.

Rules for 30 November 2003

Can I choose the option "Bow to gain one honor", and then negate the bowing with Rokuro's reaction ?

Yes. The bowing is an effect of Unrequited Love (though it is simultaneously a cost of Honor gain).

And if I can negate the bowing, would I still have to bow my guy or dishonor him after that because the guy was neither bowed nor dishonored ?

Yes, you would still have to face that choice.

Rules for 1 December 2003, Part 2

While this ruleing is specifically correct to the last line of this question it is not correct to the first question.

And the morale of the story is: Pick your examples carefully, lest it hide the general question.

Based on the context of the original question, I thought the assertion was that a single card could make multiple Reactions to a trigger. Which, of course, it cannot.

Isn't the rule that you cannot use a specifc instance of a Reaction more than once to a trigger?

Again, in the context of the original question, it was a single card with a single action.

You have a hard weekend of partying Zen?

Boy, don't I wish. That would have be so much more interesting than a whole bunch of marking, work, and a seriously malfunctioning hard drive (on a computer less than 3 months old! Splud!). :(

And there were just a *lot* of questions this time around, and when you have a finite amount of time to work on these rules posts, it means errors are more likely.
