Greetings,

answering rules questions (was Question about Tanitsu exp 2 and A Champion's Heart)

Yes, we prefer our official rules answers to be *completely* short and cryptic, thank you.

Hey!

Okay, I'll own up to "short," but "cryptic"?

Ashura vs. Nobumoto

If Nobumoto shoots Ashura [...] can Ashura's trait kill Nobumoto before he goes home?

Yes, because the "shoot" resolves before the "scoot" ("...then send this unit home," card text).

On: Ashura
Unrequited Love & Shiba Danjuro

I am playing Scorpion[...]

What a shock, Calvin! I'd never have guessed. ;)

and my opponent is playing Phoenix in Morning Glory Castle. My opponent has a bunch of unbowed peeps including one unbowed Shugenja and one unbowed Shiba Danjuro. I play Unrequited Love on one of my opponent's Shugenja. My opponent reacts with Danjuro[.] When Danjuro bows to redirect the action, Danjuro is now BOWED. Is it still legal to target him with Unrequited Love?

Yes. He could have been legal targeted with the action originally (he was unbowed), so it can be redirected to him.

[D]oes Danjuro, by virtue of the fact that he is bowed, now automatically lose his Printed Personal Honor since he can no longer choose to bow for the one honor?

Yes.

Please answer.

I'm cut to the quick! Would we leave people to twist in the breeze? ;)

What is Yours? WAS Re: [L5R-CCG] shinden horuchi moto genki question

Spells in your discard pile are not "your Spells", so they don't count as Items too.

Given this how did Morning Glory Castle work?

Er. The Stronghold should probably say a Persoanlity you own, but seeing as how it specifically refers to an Honorably Dead Personality, the First Cardinal Rule (not to mention the Rule of Obvious Legality) kicks in.

are cards in the decks considered yours?

No (Dimaond Edition rulebook, pg. 105).

Rules for 12 November 2003

What happens in the case of a Ranged Attack with no printed effects that change it from Targetting Force[...] combines with a Ranged Attack that Targets Chi by specific card text?

I've already answered this. The whole thing targets Chi.
