Also, you didn't answer Luke's question about what happens when either the challenger or the challenged is replaced by a personality with an item. Does the replacer keep the bonuses of his/her item?

Since he can't send home 2 units, and he can't destroy his highest force unit, does the ovrwhelmed resolve without effect on my opponent?
