Can I use this card to give +5 F bonus to a personality in another battle?
No (Rule of Presence, Gold Edition rulebook, pg. 53).
Two questions
Would it be possible to get a formal, technical definition for the term "Naval unit"?
Um. Why does it matter? I get nervous when someone asks for that kind of precision about a general rules.
In any case, a unit capable of being used in a Naval invasion, I.e., the Personality and Followers currently have the Naval trait. I'm curious what else you thought it could be...
One of my personalities challenges a Gaki, whose player chooses to focus, but does not then announce Gaki's death by Chi loss. Am I allowed to confirm that the focus value was a zero, or must I merely take their word for it?
Wait until the card is revealed. If Gaki should have died, just back up to that point.
Two questions
[Can I] give one of my personalities the "Kakita Dojo" Bonus in a "Show me your Stance" or "Rage" duel?
The Reaction is legal, but it will *always* add to Chi (card text), not to the stat used in a non-Chi duel.
