Just a quick question in regards to this "mess". If I use Ninja Spy on a face-down province and he is one of the cards, then I use Winds of Change. What happens? Does his ability go off or not?
The question is not, "does it go off?" The question is, "CAN it?" Reactions are not mandatory.
The answer is that it doesn't matter if Sharaku is face-down when he is discarded. His Reaction is used "after" he is discarded, when he is face-up in the discard pile and visible to all players.
H&E previews?
When will we start seeing the previews for H&E?
The 30-Day Previews begin 30 days before the set's official release date. At the present time, the official release date looks to be April 21st.
Newbie
I just joined the group today and have a few questions.
1) I am working on a website and would like to display card images, does anyone know who I have to get permission from before I do this?
You need to get permission from the current copyright holder, which, for every card from roughly (don't quote me on this) Honor Bound onward, is AEG.
What if I want to display just couple images?
The answer is the same, though I will say we have so far been quite lenient in allowing conservative use.
What if I want to display ALL the card images for all the expansions?
I'm sorry, but we will not be giving anyone permission to do this.
Doji Tanitsu
Quick question on Doji Tanisu. Card says he cannot be assigned to defend.
Can he be moved into battle ? ie: at your command ?
Yes. Assigning and moving are two different things.
Shrine of the Sun / Chrysanthemum Festival
Shrine of the Sun reads: "Limited: Bow and destroy the Shrine of the Sun to target an event card in play or in any discard pile. End all ongoing effects of that card. Shuffle the Even back into its owner's deck. If you have not resolved that Event this game, the Event no longer counts as having resolved this game. "
A couple questions: 1) If I target my opponent's Chrysanthemum Festival, could it resolve a second time, granting another province to all players?
Any Event that YOU have not resolved yet this game is "washed clean" by using the Shrine of the Sun on it. This means it will resolve the next time it appears in anyone's Province as though it hasn't resolved at all yet -- even if the same opponent or teammate reveals it this time and an earlier time.
2) If my Opponent's Imperial Gift went off, and then mine fizzled, could I target my own gift and recycle it, allowing it to resolve the next time it appeared in one of my provinces?
Yes. If you reveal an Event that has already resolved, yours is discarded without resolving. [GE p. 28]
