Does the 2 force bonus from Nikushimi include all Tsuno cards including Tsuno Followers and the Tsuno Blade?
Yes. A "tsuno" is any card with the word "tsuno" in its title or boldfaced traits line. [GE p. 33]
Soshi Kiyo Exp
if i have a Soshi Kiyo Exp with a weapon attached, for example Blade of truth +0F +3C
and use her ability to switch the force and chi
a: Soshi kiyo has a force of 7 and chi 5 or force of 7 and chi 2?
She was 2F/7C. She'll be 7F/2C. [GE p. 32]

c: what happen if the weapon is destroyed? soshi kiyo lost +3 force or +3 chi?

ORACLE (was:post for 8 January 2002)
It's going to have our "dream wordings" -- how we would word them if we could go back in time and change them to head off all the questions that ended up being asked about them.
Are these going to be errata?
While it would be ideal to have all that information in one place, it would be folly to stamp such a large document "official" through and through, at least at first.
post for 9 January 2002 (for Jeff)
Rules question - here's the situation:
Personality A challenges Personality B. Personality B's controller plays a reaction. They start a Keen Eye war (i.e., Player A uses Keen Eye to negate the reaction, Player B uses Keen Eye to negate Player A's Keen Eye, Player A Uses Keen Eye to negate the Keen Eye that negated a Keen Eye, repeat until both players have played three Keen Eyes.)
The question is, who draws cards, and how many?
Each player draws one card for each Keen Eye not negated.
The answer I came up with is that the player who played the last Keen Eye draws 3 cards, and the other player draws none.
I'd agree with that.
Jeff is this correct? As I would think that if poison weapon was the original trigger and 6 keen eyes were played in succession that the last keen eye played would be the only one that is not negated, allowing its players controller to draw one card and the poison weapon would resolve.
Think about it.
Poisoned Weapon is played. Keen Eye #1 is played in response to Poisoned Weapon. Keen Eye #2 is played in response to Keen Eye #1. Keen Eye #3 is played in response to Keen Eye #2. Keen Eye #4 is played in response to Keen Eye #3. Keen Eye #5 is played in response to Keen Eye #4. Keen Eye #6 is played in response to Keen Eye #5.
No more reactions.
#6 resolves, negating #5. Player B draws a card. #5 doesn't resolve. #4 resolves, negating #3. Player B draws a card. #3 doesn't resolve. #2 resolves, negating #1. Player B draws a card. #1 doesn't resolve. Poisoned Weapon resolves.
Rules Question
Solitary Engagement and Blue Skies
If Blue Skies is in effect and Solitary Engagement is played, is the duel refuseable?
No.
I guess the real question is, drumroll please....is Solitary Engagement's duel taking place in the/a battle?
Irrelevant. It takes place while Blue Skies is in effect, and Blue Skies does not say it applies only to challenges issued between Personalities at its battle.
Vengefull Dead, again
Is killing a personality when Vengfull Dead resolves a card effect?
Sure. Vengeful Dead is a card.
OK, now please explain how is this card not broken. Really I am curious (and honestly trying to sound polite) in the logic that alloved it into the game.
It was intended as an anti-PK card. Players with Fate decks full of Kolat Assassins, Geisha Assassins, and Touches of Death get hurt more by it than others.
Also the rarity is what confuses me. It is an uncommon, as opposed to the rare Shadows Claw. Vengefull is a really strong card that can be used in any deck, and a potential game breaker. Shadow's Claw is an action that is a God send to any non-Dragon dueling deck. How come (and this is an example, mind you) they didn't get rarities switched between them?
Because we don't make cards rare just because they're strong.
Jester question
The follower card JESTER reads as follows:
Political Reaction: Bow Jester before a player loses Honor due to one of his or her own cards or actions to double the loss. All players may use this ability.
There is a disagreement among the players in my area on how this is supposed to work.
Some believe that if the follower is in plan in any players fife, then any player (except Shadowlands) can bow the Jester for its reaction. For example, Player A has a Jester in play. Player C brings out a Corrupt Iron Mine. By this logic Player B could bow Player A's Jester to causing Player C to double his honor loss.
This is correct. "All players may use this ability," as opposed to just its controller, which is the normal rule.
