Oh! Oh! Silly Tsukune Questions!
So what happens if I play One Life, One Destiny on Shiba Tsukune? Is she now a Non-Unique Unique personality?
She's now Unique. A card cannot both have and lack a trait at the same time, and One Life, One Destiny is the most recent effect on her.

so if a card leaves play unbowed, it enters play unbowed?
That depends on the card bringing it back. By default, the card would enter play unbowed regardless of how it left.
What happens to a card that leaves play unbowed, and something returns it to play bowed?
Then it enters play bowed. There is still, however, no single instant at which it "becomes bowed". It's in play and unbowed, then out of play, then in play and bowed.
Hey, Jeff!
One Unravelling can cancel another, right?
Sure! [card text]
And bowing the shugenja is a cost of the spell, so that wouldn't be refunded if the spell is canceled, so you wouldn't have an infinite battle of Unravelling if there are two copies of the spell on the table, right?
...unless, of course, Celestial Alignment just went off. Then you could have an infinite Unravelling battle.
So what happens if Celestial Alignment goes off and then I try to cast Fury of Osano Wo in a battle while both my opponent and I each have another unbowed Shugenja with an attached Unravelling (not necessarily at that battle, but they can be if it makes the question easier)? You can only take a single reaction per copy of a card, so we could each only use Unravelling once, but... whenever either of us uses Unravelling, it canceles the other Unravelling, so that means that it never happened (other than the fact that costs are not refunded) and the other can react with their own Unravelling.
I'm going to rule that the second attempt to use Unraveling in a back-and-forth battle by the player who used it first counts as stalling on his behalf.
Now, let's say that I have Shiba Yoma in the battle.
Yoma doesn't get a bonus from canceled Spells or Kihos.
Bitter Rants and Dark Ravings
I was using a Lion deck in a game with my next-door neighbor's Shadowlands deck. He had Corrupted Geisha House in play, and I started wondering, "Isn't that a bit redundant? Unless, of course, my definition of Geisha is wrong, in which case ignore this paragraph.
It's wrong. Very, very wrong.
Beyond that, are the Monkey separate from Yoritomo's Alliance? They're a minor clan, but they have a Stronghold with their own color. Am I the only confused one?
The Vigilant Keep of the Monkey is a Toturi's Army faction Stronghold, not Yoritomo's Alliance. The Monkey Clan is associated with either Toturi's Army or the Emperor, depending on the time period.
More questons on FOU
I assume that you can use Kyofu's ability to make all your fears in an action even if he is not in the current battle, as per Kosho's rulling,
Kosho does not automatically have to be in the current battle every single time because he can also satisfy the Rule of Relevance by targeting a card in the current battle. Kyofu does not have this luxury with his second Battle action, as the only thing it targets is YOU, and targeting or affecting a player involved in the battle is not one of the ways an action can meet Relevance. That means he has to be present.
but can you react to those fears with things like face of fear?
Kyofu's action does not have the restrictions against Reactions that Blackened Sky does, so they're legal.
Death by Gifts and Favors (Solution offered.)
WC: You may call it rules lawyering, I call it a need for clarification. The fact of the matter is the rules are specifics about how long an effect last. By definition this is a card effect.
Yes, you still lose for using a G&F that you don't have anywhere in your deck or face-down Provinces even if it is not discovered immediately. The loss is not being delayed, either -- it happened at the time you used the illegal action.
Solitery Engagement Q
Another Solitray Engagement question (ok, two, but who is counting?).
Do the units go home bowed or not? I'd say not, but want to double check.
They go home in their current state, since the card does not tell you to change it.
And the real question. If I have Blue Skies in play for the battle, and play Solitary Engagement, is the duel refusable or not?
It is not. Blue Skies affects all challenges while it is in play, not just those made by cards in the battle. [card text]
