So I thought this personality was kind of interesting until my buddy pointed out that as he's written he's not particularly good. I said, "Well he's kind of like an Aid of the Grandmaster for a limited number of cards" at which point he pointed out that you don't actually get to *look* at the cards.

Is he really mean't as a 2F/3C deck shuffler? Or can we look at the cards?

You get to look at them. (How else can you choose one in any meaningful way?) They are not revealed to everyone, though.

Anyone else notice it's not Diamond bugged? I wonder if they changed it before it went to print?

There's plenty of time to add the Diamond bug to things when we actually print Diamond Edition, since Strongholds will definitely be printed as part of it.

Hound of the lost Q

If my oponent has a hida tenshu (soul of hida amoro) 6f and I have an osereru no oni with a hound of the lost atached, and I'm using the citadel of daigotsu, can I fear him and then bow the hound and the osoreru no oni to bow him?

When you use the Hound of the Lost's Reaction, you must target one particular Follower in the unit that the Fear is targeting. If Tenshu doesn't have any, the Hound's Reaction can't be used. The only way this combo works is if Tenshu has at least one Follower and all the cards attached to him are already bowed. This would bow one already-bowed Follower and Tenshu himself.

Also, if my oponent has that matsu tactician that makes all units lead by matsu pesonalities inmune to fear, and I have an osoreru no oni and a face of fear, can I face of fear a matsu domotai using osoreru's remove inmunity reaction?

Yes.

I say so because osoreru's reaction only mentions followers,

But the Face of Fear makes the fear apply to Domotai as though he's a Follower.

Hantei the 39th and Sacf Altar

Is it legal to destroy hantei the 39th with the sacaf altar to produce 20 gold and lose 10 honor or becuase he is not destroyed that messing up the whole action.

He is not destroyed, so the attempt to generate gold is canceled. No gold is produced and no honor loss happens.

This all assumes the 12th Black Scroll hasn't been used, of course. If it has, Hantei the 39th really does die, and you still don't get your gold because you lose the game first.

Also if he was human could i use the (Hero of Rou Holding) "Ambition" with him to grant a weapon 10F/10chi bounus?

You mean "The Anvil of Despair", and no, you can't, for the same reason. Cost is prevented --> action is canceled.

Solar eclispe queston

Solar Eclipse negates ongoing spell effects for one turn. Jeff has ruled that the "no enlightenment clause" is an ongoing effect.

Putting the Ring in play is a one-time effect. Solar Eclipse affects "currently active" spell effects and abilities. I.e., ongoing effects.

Also, does the old non gold legal event FINAL WORDS work the same way for the cheesey enlightment victory.

Partially. Solar Eclipse negates spell effects and abilities. Final Words only negates spell effects. Final Words would work on Rings put in play by Finding the Harmony but not on Rings put in play by Hoshi Tadao. Interesting backup event in Open, it seems.

How do players check their OP rankings?

There used to be a link on the alderac l5r page, but now it just links to the OP/aegcentral login screen. From OP, I cannot see any player rankings at all.

So how do players see their rankings?

Click the L5R logo at the top of that login screen.
