Akodo Yobi question
This must have been asked but I can't find a recent ruling.
I assume Yobi's Reaction ("Draw a card after playing a Terrain from your hand. This is a use of the Tactician trait") applies to the battle the terrain is played in, even if he's at another battle or in the fief......following that, I assume he can use Tactician (including his Reaction) at other battles.
Is this right?
Yes.
The same question applies to Satomi's ability (although this requires use of Hyun and is not as likely to come up).
Same answer. It's her use of Tactician for the battle that's going on when she uses it.
rules questions jeff
Three-stone river/shadowlands marsh:
How does interact three-stone river with shadowlands marsh, is reaplicated the penalty from shadowlands marsh after three-stone resolves or not?
Not. Shadowlands Marsh's penalty applies when the unit enters the battle. Three-Stone River's penalty begins when the terrain resolves, which is after the Marsh's.
Treaty:
Its bonus applies if the personality is in an army with another player allying unit or if you are an allied and you sent more than one allying unit?
Either. Treaty gets the bonus if there are any units in its army, not counting its own, that belong to an ally player instead of the main Attacker or Defender.
Goju adorai exp:
I revised the rulings section and the actual rule about goju adorai's targeting restrictions and it seems erroneus to me. "Adorai targets another player or his or her cards if he BOWS to perform an action which targets a player or his or her cards. [JA, 25 March 2001]" by this rule you could use goju adorai exp ability to destroy cards and it won't be considered targetting cos it does not bow adorai. Is this true or my common sense works well?
The question is, "What does it mean for Adorai to target a player?" The answer, based on intent, is he targets a player when he is the one "performing" the action. Checking the definition of "perform," which has relatively recently been added to the rulesheet, we see he performs an action if the action is on Adorai himself, if it's on one of his Spells, Ancestors, or Items, if bowing him is a cost of the action, if the action requires possessing a certain kind of Personality to play, or if the action makes him issue a challenge. Otherwise, Adorai's player is considered to be the one doing the targeting.
The ruling in the archive is based on the Spirit Wars definition of "perform", which was different. It's no longer valid given the latest rulebook.
Will of X Question
Will of Fire/Earth/Air/Water/Void -
I can play these cards if I have the appropriate Ring already in play, yes?
According to the card, if you have the Ring in play, you do not need to pay the cost of revealing it from your hand. So, yes.
Kyofu
Send him home, if he uses Test then he can't target himself to use his various battle actions.
You are not targeting Kyofu when you decide to use his Fear 8 rather than, for example, playing a "Charge" card in your hand. Picking a card to use an action on it has never been a targeting decision. Since you're not targeting him and he doesn't have to bow for it, he can use his Fear 8 after A Test of Courage.
Moto Kumari question
I think I know the answer to this i just want to get confirmation:
If Morito Exp.2 assignes to a battle and uses his reaction to pull in Moto Kumari. (I know it's a waisted reaction on Kumari, because he could just assign along with Morito) but I can't use Kumari's reaction, can I?
No. Moving and assigning are different things.
