Small Question
Well, I got into an arguement with a friend of mine over this the other night, at the local L5R night, and I have to ask: When a holding is brought into play, (We'll say Jade Works for example, just to name a random one) is it considered attached to the Province it came from, and destroyed when a Province is, or does it become independant of the Province and stick around after?
Nothing stays associated with its original Province except Regions and Fortifications.

In Search of the Future will reduce the bonuses granted by discarding card for Tactician Force boosts.

The new card revered sohei has a chi of 1 and not +1 correct?
Correct.
and the only way I can think of increasing a followers chi is with Evil Portence on a shadowlands follower does this work?
Yes, though I wouldn't swear that it's the only way.

Okay you have a 2 force 4 chi(including fortress bonus, one in play) personality. You switch the force and chi. The force becomes 4. But what about the chi? Would the chi be at 2? Or 3 because of the fortresses?
It becomes 2 because you're setting it to what his Force was. [rulebook p. 32]
Is this a recent ruling?
No. This goes all the way back to a Ninja Shapeshifter with a weapon copying someone else's Force or Chi. Even in Imperial Edition, you stayed at the copied value without adding the weapon bonus again.
So this means you can't use Energy Transferencecan on a 0 force peep without killing them , even with a Fortress of the Dragonfly in play?

oracle of fire and iaijutsu art
Oracle of Fire says: Retainer Unique Elemental Reaction: Before a duel begins, if your Personality can focus, bow the Oracle of Fire and pay 1 Gold to play your Fate deck's top card as an extra Focus card.
Iaijutsu Art says: Limited: One of your Personalities issues an unrefusable challenge to a Personality with equal or higher Chi. Each Personality focuses exactly once, if possible, and Reactions taken "instead of focusing" cannot be taken. The winner's controller gains 4 Honor. Dishonor the loser.
How do they interact? Does the controler of Oracle of Firer gets his extra focus card or not?
If he uses the Oracle of Fire, he then cannot focus during the duel because he has already focused once.
Herald Question

NONONO! The other corruption tokens (blackened claws west wall black scrolls) dont count toward Omen's shadowlands bestowing ability! I most sure that it only makes sense for his ability to work with his other ability!
Omen's second ability will work with any "corruption" tokens. It doesn't care what made them.

can I test of courage when I refuse a duel from the iron fortress?
Yes, by the MRP of A Test of Courage.

No, because the action is canceled before that effect resolves.

no because it says in the rulebook that gaining or losing the SL, monk or TA factions do not remove former faction
That's an inaccurate summary.
The rulebook says that any "fealty" effect that also REMOVES Faction traits will not remove printed Monk, Naga, Ninja, Ratling, or Spirit traits.
