Rumors

There are rumors that Asmodée is officially ruling that cards are played by their Most Recent French Printing. These rumors are false.

Bend like a Reed

My Bend like a Reed reads: "Play this card when a personality strikes in a duel against one of your personalities."

We got into a bit discussion over this card tonight. I wanted to strike and then play Bend to get the two chi bonus and win the duel. My opponent said I could only play it when someone strikes against one of my personalities.

The other Personality has to strike against yours, or Bend like a Reed is not legal.

Gift of the Water Dragon

How does Gift of the Water Dragon interact with Refugees and Torrential rain ? Thanks !

Refugees will not send the unit home or bow it, but still gives its controller the option of paying 1g for a Follower token.

It doesn't stop Torrential Rain at all. The battle still ends immediately, without resolution, and all units return to their controllers' homes.

Yu Question

Quick verification, please -

I assume from the statement in the rulebook, "The use of Yu does not alter the outcome of the battle," that if I use Yu to knock out enough attacking forces to bring them below my province strength, the province still dies (if they had enough force to drop my army + province at resolution)?

That's exactly what it means.

Dragon Puzzle Box? Bayushi Taro?

Has anyone seen Dragon Puzzle Box yet? I've read a description in spoilers, but there wasn't any in my box of boosters, I haven't seen it listed in ebay, and no one seems to have any in the trade lists I've seen.

It's an as-yet-unreleased promo. I'd say it was mispacked.

Also, am I correct in that the rarity symbol on Bayushi Taro is a mistake, and should be uncommon instead of rare?

You are correct. Taro is uncommon.

Koku Redemption Q

Are all Koku taken?

Yes.

Comitting Sepuku

When one of my dishonoured Samurai refuses a challenge and commits Sepuku to reduce the honour loss to one, do I actually loose one honour, and his personal honour, as he dies dishonourable, or is he considered honourable dead and I only loose one honour?

Any seppuku effect restores the Personality to honor (if necessary) before death. The only loss would be the loss that led to his seppuku, reduced to 1 point. [DA rulebook pp. 61 and 64]
