Rensei Questions
Can you play Doubt on Kakita Rensei since it happens as Rensei enters the duel and not during? Can Kwanchai intercept a duel from Rensei? Can you ShoTech against Rensei?
No, no, and no. Only Reactions worded to take place before your Personality enters the duel are legal.
Rules Question: Oni no Fushiki
Oni no Fushiki:
Unaligned Fire Oni*Nonhuman*Shadowlands Lose 4 Honor Elemental Battle: Once per battle, destroy a Fortification at this Povince with a Gold cost less than Oni no Fushiki's Force to permanently give Oni no Furishiki +1F
Question #1: Is it "printed" gold cost or the "entering into play" (cheaper for Crane, Crab, etc) gold cost?
Neither. It's the current Gold cost. Any discounts which apply at all times, not just for one turn or when you're bringing the card into play, will make the Holding easier to destroy.
Question #2: Ist it "printed" Force, force with all "permanent" bonus or "the force at that moment"?
The Force at the moment. You always use the current value of a stat unless a card indicates otherwise.

I have a question: If my Bayushi Yokuan issue a challenge to a opposing bowed personality wich controller have in play a Kuro Sensei, could he refuse it? By extension of the Moto Gaheris/Winter Warfare/Block Supply Lines ruling: yes.
Jeff could you please explain this ruling please. This is because the Kuro sensei allows the refusals of unrefusable duels, it does not say anything about refusable duels. Are you saying because the personality is bowed, the duel goes from being refusable to unrefusable because the personality can not pay the cost of bowing because they are already bowed?
Exactly. Whether a duel is refusable depends on all known game state elements, not just the text of the one card creating the challenge.
Ring of Air Q
With the changed text of Ring of Air in GE, it is possible to direct effects not targetted at you, correct?
It has always been possible to redirect any spell effect with the Ring of Air, not just those that targeted you originally.
Can I change Banish the Shadows so i get the effect?
No. Even though it does now target the person playing it, that player is the only possible legal player target for Banish All Shadows. It can't be redirected to someone else.
Yodin Sensei.
By Gold rules, no, you may not use the Wind abilities on personalities if you are playing with Yodin Sensei (sorry, Tsudao).
You may target them with the Iron Fortress of the Daidoji, since Strongholds are not cards and hence the duel on the Iron Fortress is not a 'card effect'.
The Towers of the Yogo gives an ability to your Scorpion Clan Personalities, and since Personalities are cards, the ability granted by the Towers of the Yogo is a card effect, and therefore you cannot use it on other players' personalities.
No need for me to do any heavy lifting here. Scott is completely right here.
Yu question
Mostly looking for official word from Jeff A., but feel free to talk amongst yourselves. :)
According to the Rules Archive, Trenches (and by extension, Surrender) have the possibility of preserving a losing army -- thus, Yu can be used to cause opponent attrition while saving your own army.
Now: what is the precise timing of Yu vs. To the Last Man? The latter requires the army to be destroyed, thus no fun tricks like the above, but does the Yu player choose his destroyed targets before the opponent must destroy the TtLM targets, or is it vice versa?
Yu happens during resolution [rulebook]. TTLM is played after the battle [card text]. Yu losses happen first.
Also: how do Yu and TtLM interact with cards that have timing clauses like "attacking this Province" or "in a battle at this Province"? Would Force-reducing cards like Moat or Road of Dust apply? I'm guessing not, since the "Aftermath" section of the rulings states that "only defending units remain in battle after resolution," but I wanted to get clarification.
Penalties that only last "for" or "until the end of" the battle, or while cards are "attacking", "defending", or "in an army/battle", will still be in effect when it comes time for Yu to kill things.
Finally... A Desperate Act gives a Force penalty to the opposing army until the end of the turn: yes or no?
Yes. It's the standard duration.
A couple of rulings questions
I was reading on this list earlier how Shrine of the Ki-rin can save people like Iuchi Shahai since the modifiers came from tokens rather than actions. So I was wondering then if by an extension of this ruling, Togashi Genshuo (who can't normally be recieve force bonuses from actions) can benefit from tokens from a dragon tattoo.
He can.
Also I was wondering on the timing of the honour loss on Ambush. Is it before or after the battle has taken place. So for example if I ambush the unit of a player on 3 honour, and Winds Truth the honour loss, will I be able to use Bad Kharma to cancel an action he then tries to play during that attack/ambush?
It happens after the entire attack, by card text. You can't use Bad Kharma in your example.
One last thing. Is Togashi Hoshi's ability to cast kihos without bowing an innate ability,
An "innate ability" is an action on a shugenja card. Traits are not abilities, so they cannot be innate abilities. Besides, Hoshi isn't a shugenja.
and is it true that when it says "may attach dragon items without cost", it means any item with dragon in the title e.g. Ancestral Sword of the Dragon?
It's true.
