Ruling question (just want confirmation it exists)

I was informed recently that a ruling had been made a while back in regards to the Gold wording on Unscalable Walls and how that wording made it unworkable with Kaui sensei.

Ii had been told that the re-wording of Unscalable Walls was unintentional and was to be played as though it did work under Kaui sensei however, try as I might I havn't been able to find mention of that in the rulings.

I just want confirmation if such a thing exists.

Unscalable Walls works with Kaiu Sensei. There is no "it doesn't work but pretend it does" ruling.

Two questions ...

- does Poisoned Weapon and Turtle's Shell target something? And may Poisoned Weapon be used in a duel that someone has played Another Time?

Poisoned Weapon does not target anything because it says so. The Turtle's Shell targets the ranged attack.

- Tribute to Your House says that it isn't an Honor Loss. But if the higher honor in a game is -16, what's happen? That player (A ninja, for example) will be at 0 Honor until the beggining of his next turn?

Yes.

It will be an Honor Gain?

No. It won't be a true honor gain either.

And when the effect ends .... will be an Honor Loss?

No.

Rules questions: "In time of War" Vs "Seppun Sensei"

With the new wording of "In time of War", "Seppun Sensei" has nothing to do with this event, does it? If I have "Seppun Sensei" in play and an "In time of War" comes up in a province, I won't be able to go further than 5 points of honor more than what I had at the beginning of my turn.

Correct.

Rules Question

Everyone knows the combo of Tribute to Your House and Asako Sagoten for quick >honor gains. Albeit, not a great combo, it's one that I play with in one of my >fun decks. I was thinking about this combo, and then it came to my attention, >how is this such a combo affected by the new wording on In Time of War?

Tribute to your House reads: Political Limited: Destroy your rightmost province. Until the beginning of your >next turn the player (or players) with the most family honor is considered to >have family honor equal to their starting family honor. Honor gains and losses >occur as usual during this period and affect the player's true family honor >during this time. This is not considered an honor loss.

While not considered an honor loss, per se, it would take you back to your >starting family honor. So the question is, could you technically use two or >more Sagotens after dropping a Tribute under IToW? Or is this >Psuedo-Current-Honor not change anything based upon what your starting honor >is? Or what? I'm just trying to figure out what I can and cannot do here :P

Tribute to your House effectively circumvents In Time of War's new wording. At the beginning of your next turn, your honor resets itself to what it really is, just in time to count as "what it was when the turn began". You can gain as much honor as you want behind the scenes, using Sagoten or any number of other measures.

Hitomi ex. 4 Shiba Aikune

2. This one is for any developers; when are we going to see a Shiba Aikune Exp.?

We really don't like to comment on this sort of thing.

Remorseful seppuku question

I've been asked a number of times now to rule on whether or not a dishonoured Personality targeted by this card is returned to honourable status before dying. My ruling has always been that he dies dishonourably. My understanding has always been that a samurai's ability to commit seppuku in response to an honour loss is specific to the case of honour loss, that the rulings for rehonouring apply only to that ability and do not translate across to "seppuku cards". There's nothing on Remorseful Seppuku to say that the Personality is rehonoured and I've always ruled that he dies dishonourably with the associated honour loss.

It's in the Glossary. "A Personality who commits seppuku always dies honorably and becomes Honorable Dead."
