Rulings for 19 January 2001

Rule Questions
I asked some questions earlier, and they haven't been officially answered yet so here they are posted again:
1. If you name Kitsune to Agasha Join the Phoenix, will you align Kitsune and Lady Kitsune as well? I would think Kitsune at least would align because Hitomi and Morito are affected by Know the School in previous rulings.
Kitsune, yes, for that reason. Lady Kitsune, no.
2. Can each Ninja Shapeshifter copy Yoritomo Yukue exp's ability and use it once?
Each can copy it and use it. But due to this ruling:
] Only the copied ability, tokens created by it, and effects whose ] durations depend on the originating card (for example, "until this ] card straightens") disappear at the end of the turn. [Rulebook, DW, ] 3/11/97]
each of the Shapeshifters' effects wear off when they lose the copied ability at the end of the turn. By an even older ruling, though, they also forget they've used it and can re-copy and re-use it again on each of your turns.
3. When you use Kolat Agent to copy Poorly Placed Gardens or Empty Crevasses, does it become a Fortification? Do you attach it to one of your provinces?
It only copies the gold and/or honor production. No and no.
4. Will Final Words end the effect of The Iron Citadel?
Based on the ruling that Solar Eclipse doesn't, no. Replacing your Stronghold is like destroying a card: it's an instantaneous effect with long-lasting repurcussions rather than an ongoing effect.
