Isawa Fosuta exp and Enticement

L5R CCG Rules board, 9 December 2011

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

A player, 9 December 2011

In his Dynasty phase, my opponent buys Isawa Fosuta exp. In my Action phase on the very next turn, my first action is to use Enticement on him. Later in the turn, I use his ability. After my turn ends, who decides whether he straightens?

Isawa Fosuta

Spider Clan • Shadowlands • Shugenja • Inquisitor • Experienced • Unique • Onyx Champion After Fosuta enters play, Lose 8 Honor. Maho Open: Bow Fosuta: Lose 6 Honor. While Fosuta remains bowed, you may negate his straightening and, at the start of each turn, you may target a Personality and give him a -1F/-1C Curse token. After the next time this game Fosuta straightens or leaves play, destroy all Curse tokens.

Enticement

Open: Pay Gold equal to the total Gold Cost of the targeted Personality's unit: Lose 3 Honor. Take control of a target Personality. While you control him, you may not assign his unit to attack and he will not move to attack. Before this turn ends, give control of him to his owner.

You do.

http://rules.l5r.com/CE_Effects#Choices: "If an action does not explicitly state which player makes a choice between several options, the choice belongs to the player taking the action."

Note that this question has been asked and answered before and was found easily by doing a search for "Fosuta".
