Recently we had a debate, Regarding this interaction here: viewtopic.php?f=59&t=89597&p=1187604&hilit=unit+target#p1187604
If I target a unit with 1000 Cuts Technique (can pay for it, etc), that has 2 attachments, and my opponent uses chugo seido to redirect that action to another personality, what happens to the attachments that I intended to target? What if instead of changing of which personality gets targeted they play "Preserve Your Forces" to move the attachments to a different unit?

You cannot target any attachment with 1,000 Cuts Technique because it targets is "a unit", which is equivalent to targeting a Personality (see Units).
In your first example with Chugo Seido, the second Personality is destroyed but nothing happens to the attachments of the first Personality, because the unit that is destroyed is the unit of the Personality who is actually targeted.
In your second example with Preserve Your Forces, the targeted Personality is destroyed but nothing happens to the attachments that were transferred to another Personality, because they are no longer in the unit of the targeted Personality when the destruction applies.
