c. Active player's choice.
The Shadow Court: Battle: Choose your performing defending Courtier: Bow a target enemy Personality. After the next time this turn another player's action or a battle resolution destroys your Courtier, draw a card and choose a player, who gains or loses 2 Honor.
Ring of Earth: After you destroy one or more provinces or enemy units by winning a battle at a province: You may put this card into play from your hand.
The Shadow Court creates a delayed effect which triggers "After the next time this turn ... a battle resolution destroys your Courtier"; Ring of Earth has a triggered trait which triggers "After you destroy one or more ... enemy units by winning a battle": both of these occur in step 2.i of the Resolution Segment, "The Attacker simultaneously destroys all cards in the defending army." Triggered traits and delayed effects which don't "negate, prevent, or substitute" their trigger resolve in step B of the Timing Sequence; if two of more of these conflict, the active player decides which to resolve first.
