Muscle and Steel performed

L5R CCG Rules board, 23 February 2011

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

Let's say there is a personality with an attachment with base gold 7 and was targeted and bowed with Togashi Shiori (Experienced) ability and thus cannot perform actions. Later I try to destroy this personality and my opponent would like to use Muscle and Steel in reaction to personality's destruction.

Is it impossible? Or is it possible in case of having a follower but not possible in case of having a weapon ?

Muscle and Steel

Reaction: After another player's action targets one of your Personalities, bow one of his attachments with a base Gold Cost of 7 or more: Negate either the action's bowing, destruction, or movement of cards in his unit.

Togashi Shiori (Experienced)

Battle: Bow a target enemy Personality with higher Force than his own Chi. He may not perform actions this turn.

Thanks for your answer

No, it is legal. Muscle and Steel is not a performed action.

"What performs an action?" is a frequently asked question.
