Rosoku Sensei - Control Ring, Have Ring in Play

L5R CCG Rules board, 26 January 2011

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

Just wanted to be sure about this, seems perfectly possible but a player had some doubts. If I use Rosoku Sensei, do events as Wisdom of the Keepers and Enlightened Ruler trigger due to me having a ring in play (the sensei itself) giving me 5 honor for each one?

Rosoku Sensei All Clans Sensei - While this Sensei is in play, it counts as an Elemental Ring for costs and effects of actions. You may only take one action per Phase that unconditionally puts one or more cards in your hand.

Wisdom of the Keepers Each player who controls any Rings gains 5 Honor.

Enlightened Ruler All players gain 5 honor for each Elemental Ring they have in play.

No. Wisdom of the Keepers and Enlightened Ruler aren't actions.
