Faint Praise Political Open: Before the next time this turn a player gains Honor during his Dynasty Phase or from one of his own actions, he loses that amount of Honor instead of gaining it.
With reference to Faint Praise. Since the honor gain is now an honor loss instead, does this mean that I can still buy another personality to gain honor?

Yes. If you paid the full Gold cost of a Personality aligned to your Clan during the Dynasty Phase, and failed to gain Honor, for example because the gain was replaced by a loss due to Faint Praise, then you can try again to gain Honor this way. The limit of once per turn is on the actual gain, not on the choice to attempt to gain Honor this way.
