A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

Cricket Tattoo Water • Tattoo Battle: Choose your performing Tattooed Personality: Straighten his unit. If he has Water, you may move him to the current battlefield.
Would it be against the "Good Faith Rule" and/or the "Rules of Location" to choose a Tattooed Personality that did not have the Water keyword and was not at the current battlefield.
Thank you.

Going to kick this up to the Rules Junta. Stay tuned.

A Personality without the Water trait does not get an exception to the Rule of Location, so it cannot be played on such a Personality. The example is going into the wiki under the blind cards rule: http://rules.l5r.com/CE_Effects#Blind_cards_rule
