Game of Sadane and actions which dishonor or rehonor

L5R CCG Rules board, 15 April 2010

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

Game of Sadane: Battle: Dishonor your target unbowed Personality: Dishonor a target Personality opposing him. After the next resolution of an action that was performed by a dishonorable Personality at this battlefield, bow that Personality.

When does the "bow that Personality" effect check whether a personality is dishonorable? Is it only once, after the complete resolution of the action? Or does it apply if a personality was dishonorable when they were first targeted? Paid costs? If they were dishonorable at any time during the action?

For two specific examples: After someone does a Game of Sadane, I play a Border Ambush. (Battle: Dishonor your target Personality: Give each of your Personalities and Followers at the current battlefield +1F, or +2F if they are opposed.) Is my performing personality bowed?

After someone does a Game of Sadane, targeting my Utaku Kioko, they move in a unit to the battlefield, and I use Kioko's reaction (Reaction: After an enemy Personality assigns or moves to Kioko's battlefield: Gain 2 Honor.) rehonoring her. Is my now-honorable Kioko bowed?

Game of Sadane: When does the "bow that Personality" effect check whether a personality is dishonorable?

This is about when it is known a card performs an action.

http://rules.l5r.com/CE_Glossary_P-Q#Perform: "The timing point "when [a card] performs" an action is at the point that the card's performing status is known; that is,

"* when the action is announced, if the performing is from the card's own ability or that of an Item or Spell attached to it;" "* when the action targets or mentions the performer, if the performing is explicit or from targeting." "* when the card attaches, if the performing is from a card not yet attached to the Personality. "
