A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

Wrath of Kali-Ma Shadowlands • Unique After this card enters play: You permanently may not win an Honor victory. Limited: Discard this card and destroy your rightmost Province: Search your Dynasty deck for any number of non-Unique Shadowlands Nonhuman Personalities. Bring them into play. Lose 10 Honor.
My question is what would happen to cards that you search for from your deck, but do not pay the costs for? Would the simply go back into the deck, or be put in the discard pile?

Reshuffled into the deck. The consensus in the Rules Junta was that reshuffling is consistent with the good faith rule, and with the idea of a failing effect keeps the game state as it was before.
