Does Fukuzo's reaction give him a force bonus equal to a personality's force before it dies or after it is in the discard pile?

Maho Reaction: After the resolution of an action that destroyed any Personalities at Fukuzo’s battlefield: Give Fukuzo a Force bonus equal to one of the Personalities’ Force.
Fukuzo's Reaction is taken after the resolution of an action that destroyed the chosen Personality, so after his destruction, therefore he lies in the discard pile when the Force bonus is added to Fukuzo's Force, the effect doesn't look back in the past to check his Force when he was destroyed.
However some ongoing Force bonuses and penalties may still apply to the dead Personality in the discard pile, depending on their duration and conditions.
