Mutual Hatred and Non-current Battlefields

L5R CCG Rules board, 4 May 2009 to 5 May 2009

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

Martin Lund (rules official), 4 May 2009

Mutual Hatred reads: "Battle: Target your unbowed Samurai: Target an enemy Personality. Before this battle's resolution, destroy both targets if they are opposing each other."

If both targets are moved out of the Current Battlefield to another shared Battlefield (say by Luring Tactics, for example) they will still be destroyed before the resolution of this (the current) battle, correct?

Correct. Mutual Hatred destroys the targeted cards before the current battle's resolution if they are opposing each other at any battlefield, not necessarily the current one.
