When Changing paths refers to Base trait what is it refering to the personaility? or the Ring base trait?
Could you give me a brief example of how this would work please?
Also I tried to look for an explanation in the FAQ for changing paths. Where can I go to look for this next time?

The Ring. Personalities are not referred to as "it," among other things.
E.g., if you have a chance to play Ring of Air, but don't have it in hand, get it.
The FAQ is for questions that are, by definition, frequently asked. Changing Paths doesn't fall into that category (yet!), which is what this forum is for.
