L5R CCG Rules board, 11 May 2008

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

Can I use Stay your Blade on a personality who has been targeted by Test of Courage? I believe I can because the word target is not used as a cost, but I could be wrong.

Test of Courage says, "You can not target the Personality with actions or bow him to pay costs."

That's two things you can not do:

1. target the Personality with actions

2. bow him to pay costs

Stay Your Blade does the first one.

So, no, a Personality targeted by A Test of Courage could not later that same turn be targeted by Stay Your Blade.
