The Lion's Strength vs Misdirection

L5R CCG Rules board, 1 May 2008 to 2 May 2008

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

Say I have more than 1 opposed lion personality at a battlefield: And I use The Lion's Strength to move one of them to the current battlefield. Can my opponent legally play misdirection to move a different lion personality I control other than the one I used to perform Lion's Strength? Will this different target still fulfill the rule of location?

Your opponent's choice of targets for your The Lion's Strength must obey the same rules of Presence and Location that you would have to obey: if the performing target isn't at the current battlefield, he must be the one targeted to move.
