Dissent and Draw Your Blade Question

L5R CCG Rules board, 9 April 2008

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

I did an advanced search and didnt see anything on these pertaining to this. Lets say i have Joesmoe A with a follower attached attacking a province with a random defender present. Lets say for giggles he wants to use dissent to bow the follower, is that a legal target since followers arent not allowed to have followers of their own.

Dissent: Text Battle: For each different clan alignment on Personalities in the current enemy army, target one card without attached Follwers in that army. Bow all targets.

Lets say the same situation for Draw your blade can he target the follower with the bow action?

Draw your blade: Text Battle: Bow a target enemy card without attachments. Battle: Dishonor one of your target Personalities: Bow a target card opposing him.

Yes.

http://rules.l5r.com/Glossary_A#Attach: "A Personality card is not considered attached to its attachment card. Thus, Followers, Items, Spells, and so on are always considered 'cards without attachments.'"
