Multiple Purge the Weak and Timing

L5R CCG Rules board, 28 January 2008 to 2 February 2008

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

Rules-argument-inducing situation:

If I have two copies of Purge the Weak in play, my first Battle action is to use Draw Your Blade to bow a personality, and then I react in succession to that action with both copies of Purge the Weak, would my opponent be able to react to the first action I am granted by Purge the Weak before I play the action granted by the second one?

If I have two copies of Purge the Weak in play, my first Battle action is to use Draw Your Blade to bow a personality, and then I react in succession to that action with both copies of Purge the Weak, would my opponent be able to react to the first action I am granted by Purge the Weak before I play the action granted by the second one?

This is too vague to answer, since it would depend on what the text of the reaction to be played in between.
