This came up recently.
Silence the Future had just resolved and I attack with a Personality with a Tsi Blade attached. My opponent tells me that the Tsi Blade does not raise my Personality's force above base value (understood) but that it therefore doesn't contribute its force to Unit force either. Is this correct?
Thanks,
Brent.
Silence The Future Until your next turn begins, Personalities and Followers have a maximum Force equal to their base Force.
Martin Lund (rules official), 13 November 2007
A unit's Force total is the sum of the modified Force of all unbowed Personalities and Followers in the unit.
The Force of your Spells and Items do not get counted into the Force total of your units. They only help if they increase the Force of your Personalities or Followers. If Silence the Future prevents an Item from raising a Personality's Force, then the Item isn't helping your unit's (or army's) Force total.
