Delayed Card effects

L5R CCG Rules board, 19 October 2007

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

Per this ruling extending the ruling to other cards.. and the other ruling stating that the comprehensive rules now take overrule the rulebook on page 56 viewtopic.php?f=59&t=62351

Am I correct in assuming these reactions can not be used to delayed effects?

Clan heirloom granted reaction Hida Kozen can not use his reacition Hida Tsuburu Hida Yaheiko Few against many Razor of the Dawn Castle Sentei no Oni (Experienced) (to desperate Gambit) Duty

The list probably goes on. Now many of them only react to your opponent's cards effects but there are a few delayed effects that are your opponents.

So they can not react to delayed destruction effects like Desperate Gambit, wounded in battle(on a samurai) or Chi death that occurs post dying from it during a heated discussion? Since all of these create destruction after the action resolves.

Clan Heirloom-not worded like Adeiko. Hida Kozen is not a card. If you meant Hida Kozan, he isn't worded like Adeiko either. Hida Tsuburu is worded like Kozan, which means he isn't worded like Adeiko. ..and so on down the list. None of those cards have a wording like Adeiko, so any rulings that apply to Adeiko and resolving are not relevant to this provided list.
