Default controller and location of created cards.

L5R CCG Rules board, 18 October 2007

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

The question came up (in a multiplayer game, surprisingly enough) about the default controller and location of a created cards. After checking out the rules (though admittedly, not to exhaustively cause I was using a stupid Iphone) I was unable to find an answer.

Can a player use Summon Maseru no Oni to create an Oni in his opponent's home? I would assume then that the created personality is controlled by the opponent.

They enter play like any other card - by default in their controller's home.

They have their controller determined like any other card - by default the player who brought them into play.
