Another Toshi ranbo question

L5R CCG Rules board, 9 October 2007 to 10 October 2007

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

In regaurd to this http://www.alderac.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=59&t=62237 I take it Impressive Resilience is also defeated by Toshi Ranbo?

Also when you said "typically trumps" here ""This can't be Negated," typically trumps, "Negate this effect," or "this card can not be [insert effect here]."" I take it you mean not always, so is there a current legal situation in SE that would not be trumped by toshi ranbo?

Yes, Toshi Ranbo trumps Impressive Resilience, normally.

You could have a series of "this can not be Negated" Negation effects - like say you play a Reinforce the Gates with Determination modifying it or something. That'd get through Toshi Ranbo, since Toshi Ranbo would be trying to Negate the effect of Reinforce the Gates, which Determination in turn Negates.
