Utemaro and Traveling Ronin

L5R CCG Rules board, 24 September 2007

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

If a person attaches Traveling Ronin as an open action via the follower's trait, and an opposing player takes the battle action on Yoritomo Utemaro (xp1) to steal the follower, would the follower's previous controller be able to put it (the follower) back into his hand at the end of the turn?

Yes. It is a delayed effect of the Battle/Open action on the follower that was used to attach it to the original personality.
