Will targeting a personality/follower with 0 force before Shinjo's Courage resolves, result in the destruction of the personality/follower if it applies a reduction?

I'm unclear on if the reduction is applied then the force is checked to see if its 0, or if the force needs to be greater than 0 before the action then 0 after the action; in order to destroy the personality/follower. It seems like it should be the way its worded which implies that the action must reduce it to 0, not be 0 after the reduction, in order to kill it. However after the ruling on Maemi (viewtopic.php?f=59&t=61769), it seems that it wouldn't matter, as she is worded the same way to imply that the reduction must reduce the personality to 0; not be 0 before.

Shinjo's Courage Battle: Target one of your Personalities and a target Follower, or Personality without Followers, opposing him: Reduce the opposing target’s Force by the difference by the difference in Personal Honor between the targets’ units’ Personalities. If this reduced its Force to 0, destroy it and gain Honor equal to your Personality’s Personal Honor.

No. "If this reduced its Force to 0" implies a value greater than zero before the action was played.
