The End is Near

L5R CCG Rules board, 14 September 2007 to 15 September 2007

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

I have a few questions about The End is Near.

1. Under Samurai rules, is the only personality performing the action the Shugenja who has the spell attached?

2. Assuming The End is Near resolves successfully and destroys all personalities in play, would my opponent be unable to react with Assigning Blame, since by the time Assigning Blame would trigger ("After one of your Personalities is destroyed, if you control a Courtier..."), my opponent has no Courtiers in play ?

No.

Correct. Not legal because there are no Personalities. (Fixed.)
