Sharing with Vik-sch'tok

L5R CCG Rules board, 14 September 2007 to 15 September 2007

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

I understand that using the Share action is not Equiping, but transfering an item. However, I was hoping to have the following clarified for me (bold text indicating where I am unclear):

Share (pg. 33, rulebook) says: Open: Bow one of your attachments: Transfer it to another of your target Personalities who can legally attach it.

Vik-sch'tok says: Limited: Pay 2 Gold: Create a +3F Weapon Item card and attach it to a target Ratling Personality.

My question is how can Vik-sch'tok's item be transfered to a non-Ratling personality without violating the Share action's legal attaching target requirement.

Thank you for the clarification.

(H)ow can Vik-sch'tok's item be transfered to a non-Ratling personality without violating the Share action's legal attaching target requirement.

Because the item has no restriction on it. The action does, but the action is done and over and isn't on the item.
