A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

Example: "A Shadowlands Shugenja or Monk" means "a Shadowlands Shugenja or a Shadowlands Monk." If "a Monk or a Shadowlands Shugenja" is meant, it will be written that way. Likewise, "a Shugenja or Monk without attachments" means "a Shugenja without attachments or a Monk without attachments."
"You do not lose Honor from Fate and Spider Clan cards you own."
Is 'you own' a modifier? Last time I asked, I didn't specifically refer to 'you own' in writing, and was told, "There's no modifiers to "Fate" or "Spider Clan.""
Am I correct in assuming that 'Fate' may be used in a similar way to 'Item', 'Follower', etc. as they are a card type? If so, what in the rules specifies that it means, "Fate (cards you own) and Spider clan cards you own"? Is this a case of, "a Monk or a Shadowlands Shugenja"?
