I destroyed one of my opponent's provinces and he promptly played Retribution. He assigns a unit to attack. Am I allowed to assign defenders for this Attack Phase if I have unbowed personalities?
A question about Retribution
A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. I destroyed one of my opponent's provinces and he promptly played Retribution.
Note that Retribution is not played after a Province is destroyed; it is played, "After the end of an Attack Phase."
