Does the destruction effect on Mountains of the Phoenix (MotP) occur in the combat phase or is it an effect that occurs in reaction to the start of the resolution phase?
MotP reads: "Before this battle's resolution......"
In other words if I have used Gutobo's recon effect at a province and my opponent plays MotP and I destroy a goblin would that trigger the ability to reenter play before turn's end?
Gutobo reads: "Recon Open: Target a province. Before this turn ends, bring into play each dead Goblin Personality you own who was destroyed during the Combat Segment at that province's battlefield this turn, waiving Gold Costs."

Comprehensive Rules, Battles: "Effects 'before a battle resolves' happen after the Combat Segment ends and before the Resolution Segment begins."
