Retribution & Eager to Fight Part 2

L5R CCG Rules board, 26 July 2007

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

In this topic http://www.alderac.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=59&t=59592 you stated that Eager to Fight would could not be used to add more units. Is that a reversal of this ruling http://www.alderac.com/forumold/viewtopic.php?t=37067 that allows the Water Dragon Exp 2 to assign more units after the cavalry movement segment? Or is there some difference between the Water Dragon Exp 2 and Eager to Fight that I am not seeing?

Thanks for your time.

No.

There's a difference between the printings of Retribution that you're not seeing.

Retribution used to say, "You cannot assign more than one unit normally during this attack."

Now it just says, "You can only assign one unit."

What a difference a word can make, huh?
