On cards such as, Will and Death after Life, does the Gold cost of bringing the Personality into play make it the actual cost of the Action?
Note: Will has a printed GC of * and Death after Life a printed GC of 0.
Will
Battle: Target a dead Samurai Personality in your discard pile and pay his printed Gold cost minus 4: If he would be oppossed, bring him into play at the current battlefield ignoring costs and restrictions.
Gold *
Death after Life
Reaction: After one of your Personalities is destroyed during battle: Lose 5 Honor. Target a dead Personality in your discard pile, or in any discard pile if you are a Spider Clan player. Permanently give him Shadowlands and Undead. Bring him into play in your current army, ignoring restrictions (paying all costs).
Gold 0
It seems to me that with Will the Gold Cost for bringing the personality into play is a Cost and therefore the actual GC of the Action, but not so in the case of Death after Life.
Thanks.

Will is an action with a gold cost that has an effect that brings the personality into play, and ignores the costs and play restrictions of the targeted personality.
Death after Life is an action with no gold cost, but the effect of bringing the personality into play does not have any of the personality's gold costs waived, so you must pay the cost of the personality for it to enter play.
