I've been using Three Storms since it came out in Enemy of my Enemy... and only recently did my playgroup discover somthing about it.
Three Storms
Flank Formation - Formed by 4 attacking pirate cards
After this card enters play, if the defender controls no items, spells, or followers, you may target a Personality he controls. Destroy the target.
Battle: Target a pirate Personality you control in the current battle: target a spell, item or follower controlled by the defender. Move it to the pirate, even if Illegal.
As according to this text, the item stolen does not change controller, it just gets moved. That means that any actions on items or followers can not be used by the pirate player running the formation. The text for Tsuruchi Shunso reads similarly in this way.
This also implies that if you steal attachments from the opponent, and any of those attachments are in play, you can never play a three storms for it's destruction trait.
I really believe that the intention of the card was for the pirate player to to gain control of the attachments, as that is how we've been playing it since it's release, even in kotei and local tournaments.
I'd like your verification on if this new interpertation is accurate.
Assuming that the attachments remain under the control of the owner, even when attached to the pirate player's personalities... how does that interact with cards like Chuda Hankyu? Can the player owning the Hankyu dishonor the pirate player's personality as a cost for using the Hankyu on the pirate player's personalities?
