O'chin and Mak'irtch

L5R CCG Rules board, 15 February 2006

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from the Wayback Machine (its copy), so posts it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

Okay, this is probably really obvious, but I figure I should just check.

Are Regions in the current battle considered opposing cards? I ask because O'chin can destroy an opposing card, and since spells can be destroyed, I was curious about regions.

Question 2: Can Mak'irtch give followers to ratling followers?

The card reads: "...Once per turn, target a number of Ratlings up to the number of different Tribe traits on cards in play..."

Are Regions in the current battle considered opposing cards?

Lotus rules, pg. 74: "Provinces, and cards and tokens attached to them, are not in armies and do not oppose anything."

Can Mak'irtch give followers to ratling followers?

No. This one's going to have to go into the Archive...
