In order to combat several different but related card combos that can abruptly end games with a difficult-to-stop victory, the following ruling will go into effect Friday, August 12th, 30 days from today:
Abilities that copy abilities may not be copied.
This ruling is an extension of the rule already in the Diamond rulebook that prevents cards from copying any aspect of themselves. The intent of that rule was to prevent copying effects from propagating in uncontrolled fashion. However, too many interactions exist in the current card set that circumvent it.
